it is my desire [00:00.00]To begin to sing, to set out to recite [00:00.00]A song of the dead, a story of the gone [00:00.00]To comfort their souls, and those of our own [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]I am not a storyteller with good stories [00:00.00]What I sing is what I saw, and also what I feel [00:00.00]Not so grand as these of the old minstrel [00:00.00]Not so delicate as those of a playwright [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]Once there was this lady who thought [00:00.00]That all killing is simply evil [00:00.00]And she sold her power, sold her soul [00:00.00]For a pact with a priest of death [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]When everything got settled and dusted [00:00.00]Came the manipulator from a gap [00:00.00]She said that all must stop at once [00:00.00]But as it turned out it was a late effort [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]And so years went by, flew was the time [00:00.00]It was a tale so dreadful that no one would tell [00:00.00]One day after the erection of walls [00:00.00]Again the peace went away from the land [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]Snow kept falling, Spring lay asleep [00:00.00]No one knew the reason, no one had a clue [00:00.00]Three went out searching to find out the truth [00:00.00]Petal-like snowflakes caressed them all [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]The red shrine maiden, a carefree one [00:00.00]She ran out of donations, so she set out [00:00.00]To see and to discover, what evil on earth [00:00.00]Dragged her into a whole new crisis [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]The silver head maid, a steadfast one [00:00.00]Her masters consumed too much tea [00:00.00]'The stock'll be gone', she said, to herself [00:00.00]And she went out to replenish their stowage [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]The black magician, an ordinary one [00:00.00]She'd no particular motive at all [00:00.00]It might have been simply too much boredom [00:00.00]Or it was she hated being left behind [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]The three set their steps on a trip [00:00.00]Neither to heaven, nor to hell [00:00.00]As their destination has the distinction [00:00.00]For accommodating all dead souls [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]As they each paved their ways through the snow [00:00.00]Cleared all confusions, and got above [00:00.00]Dealt with the border of noise and music [00:00.00]They reached the gate of the netherworld [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]A half-human-half-ghost, a determined gatekeeper [00:00.00]An attentive gardener, a sinewy sword-bearer [00:00.00]She was feisty as the Spring that was lost [00:00.00]And cold as the Winter that hadn't gone [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]Her master, a princess, of eternal youth [00:00.00]A dead soul awaken, a ghost, two-foot [00:00.00]Had smuggled the Spring, secretly stored it [00:00.00]Inside of her archaic cherry tree [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]The cherry tree, in full bloom, a boon companion [00:00.00]Guarded her corpse alongside her powers [00:00.00]But under the lively look on the surface [00:00.00]It was a lighthouse leading to death [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]An intensive conversation, an intense battle [00:00.00]A clash between different innocent desires [00:00.00]So long did it rage in the world of the dead [00:00.00]That it eventually made the flowers go wild [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]There are plenty accounts that tell [00:00.00]How the incident came to an end [00:00.00]While most of these focus at the process and battles [00:00.00]Little was said about the story after [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]Then, all the snow halted falling [00:00.00]Spring got free of its captivity [00:00.00]On a bright and warm new day [00:00.00]The resurrected princess made a request [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]She didn't talk a lot about her past [00:00.00]But an old friend of her was brought up [00:00.00]That friend, she said, was as always [00:00.00]Lying firm for another endless hibernation [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]She wanted someone to give her friend [00:00.00]Her greetings, regards, and a kick [00:00.00]First to inform about their reunion [00:00.00]Then to get her out of her bed [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]So the three went back from the reign of the dead [00:00.00]Returning to life in every sense [00:00.00]And went to search for a certain person [00:00.00]Residing in the boundaries of everything [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]Some petty disputes, a little malentendu [00:00.00]After all the hostess was fully awaken [00:00.00]The wily weasel, seventeen years old [00:00.00]Went out to her friend for a rendezvous [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]With the dead got revitalised [00:00.00]And the sage reclaimed her passion [00:00.00]Spring spread through the land [00:00.00]The story came to its end [00:00.00] [00:00.00] [00:00.00]And as things they all got settled [00:00.00]The land of illusions again was in peace [00:00.00]While none may ever fathom all the facts [00:00.00]A song about these lasses would glide on
